Staff and Faculty Mobility Abroad
IEU academic and administrative staff have the opportunity to participate in professional development programs abroad.
Participation in academic mobility programs allows you to:
- undertake internships or trainings at partner universities, companies, or other relevant institutions;
- exchange experience with colleagues from different countries;
- enhance pedagogical, managerial, and intercultural competencies;
- develop skills required to work in a mobile, multicultural, and digital environment.
These programs promote not only international academic cooperation but also strengthen the professional community of faculty and administrative staff, helping them adapt to the dynamic challenges of modern society.

- Academic staff
- Researchers
- Administrative staff
- Financial staff
- Technical staff
If you are a faculty member or employee of the International European University, you can undertake training or internships at a university, company, or educational organization in another European country or at higher education institutions in other countries.
Forms of academic mobility for participants who are teaching, academic, research, or other university staff:
- participation in joint educational and/or research projects (activities within a temporary project group formed for a certain period to implement the goals and tasks of an educational or research project funded by a grant provided to partner institutions);
- teaching;
- internships;
- research;
- research internships;
- language internships;
- professional development;
- other forms (participation in seminars, conferences, presentations, and publications within a specific specialty/field of knowledge, etc.) that do not contradict the law.
Academic, research, teaching, and other staff may exercise the right to academic mobility for professional activities and participation in joint educational and/or research projects in accordance with the agreement concluded for participation in the academic mobility program.
- Your primary place of employment is retained for up to 2 years.
- Salary at the primary place of employment is retained for up to six months if it is not covered by the academic mobility program.
PROCEDURE FOR EXERCISING THE RIGHT TO ACADEMIC MOBILITY BY PARTICIPANTS IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
You have the right to:
- continue working at IEU after completing the academic mobility program;
- safe conditions for study, internships, practical training, and research during academic mobility;
- access to the educational, research, production, cultural, and sports facilities of the partner institution;
- participation in scientific conferences, symposia, exhibitions, and competitions;
- dissemination of research results and publication of findings;
- receipt of an academic transcript or equivalent document with a list and results of completed educational components, number of credits and grades, as well as information on the grading system, according to the template established by the partner institution;
- consulting and technical support from the University or partner institution while abroad.
Your obligations:
- provide the necessary documents on time to participate in the academic mobility program;
- arrive on time at the place of academic mobility;
- comply with the terms of agreements concluded between the University, the partner institution, and the participant;
- during academic mobility, comply with the legislation of the host country, the internal rules, statute, and other regulations of the partner institution;
- complete the academic mobility study plan approved by the partner institution;
- return to your workplace at the University on time after completing the program.
