On January 28, 2025, the official inauguration of the European University EUonAIR took place – a groundbreaking initiative that is reshaping the role of artificial intelligence in higher education.
Coordinated by Prof. Izabela Grabowska and Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska from Kozminski University, EUonAIR unites universities and partners from across Europe to:
- Enhance academic programs with cutting-edge AI solutions,
- Develop the concept of Smart UniverCities,
- Support educational mobility, including Return Mobility.
During the kickoff meeting, project leaders introduced their teams and outlined plans for the next phases of this ambitious initiative. Each Work Package (WP) plays a crucial role in achieving the shared vision of AI-driven innovation in education, research, and societal impact.
EUonAIR is also part of the community of 65 European Universities and the #FOREU4ALL platform, which fosters international academic collaboration.
The project will run from 2025 to 2029, shaping the future of higher education in the AI era.

During the EUonAIR kick off meeting, they have presented plans for the upcoming stages of the initiative in key issues related to among others:
- Integrating AI into education and university management in Europe
- Developing the MyAI virtual campus to promote AI-based education, support open research, and foster innovation
- Collaborating with cities for smart and green solutions
- Human (Return) Mobility 2.0 approach
This project has great significance at the academic, national, and international levels.
