Today, the capital of Hungary has become a platform for powerful dialogue, new connections, and deep discussions. The International Summit of Ukrainian and Hungarian Youth “#NOVAdays2025” has opened in Budapest — a platform uniting active youth, students, experts, and parliamentarians to build a strong intercultural bridge between Ukraine and Hungary.

 The event was initiated by Liliana Hreksa, spokesperson for the Ukrainian national minority in the Hungarian Parliament.

 Co-organizers include the State Self-Government of Ukrainians in Hungary, the Expert Council of Ukrainian University Students, and Yuliia Hryshyna, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament and Co-Chair of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary.

A student delegation from the International European University took part in the summit’s dynamic agenda:

 Participants were given a tour of the Hungarian Parliament Building, where they had the chance to witness the heart of Hungarian politics and gain historical insights into the country’s unique state system.

 On the first day of the summit, engaging panel discussions took place, focusing on the role of youth in developing bilateral relations, the integration of internally displaced persons, and the transformation of youth organizations in today’s changing landscape. Presentations by representatives of Ukrainian and Hungarian universities, civic councils, and youth associations sparked a real brainstorming session and offered an inspiring example of partnership.

 The first day concluded with a team-building activity and a networking dinner — an informal part of the program that allowed participants to continue exchanging ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.

 The “#NOVAdays2025” Summit is more than just an event. It is an investment in a new generation of leaders capable of building bridges instead of walls. It is a dialogue shaping a shared European future.
